What is the Young Hackers Guild?
The Young Hackers Guild is no ordinary coding workshop. The Young Hackers Guild isn’t just where you learn boring code; it’s where minds meld and ideas collide.
It’s a place where coding prowess, software magic, and computer genius collide – and we’re just getting started.
Although we call it the Young Hackers Guild, parents need not worry, I just needed a cool-sounding name, so there is no chance of the FBI kicking down your door and ruining a perfectly good evening.
At the Young Hackers Guild, we’re like that secret chamber in the heart of the digital universe. Think of it as a secret society for tech-minded trailblazers, all huddled around other like-minded code Ninjas, sharing ideas, and soaking up wisdom.
Our workshops? They’re a tech haven, where students dive headfirst into a pixelated wonderland of coding principles, robotics escapades, AI intrigue, and computer literacy wizardry.
We’re on a mission – and it’s not just any mission. We’re developing a league of tech geniuses who’ll glide through the digital realm with style and purpose. Why? Because the digital landscape isn’t just evolving; it’s changing the way we think, work, play and live.
About me
I’m the Lead Developer and Founder of Explora.Online, an innovative Travel Platform that has spearheaded significant advancements in the Travel Industry. My coding journey commenced at the age of 10, tinkering on a second-hand Commodore 64. By the age of 12, a “x86” computer landed in my hands, and I delved deeper into coding, game cracking, and crafting custom software for experimentation. A rather cringe-worthy memory stands out: creating my first computer virus at 14. Not my proudest achievement, but worth a mention for its cringy essence.
However, this is where the real journey began. I continued learning and eventually found myself working at Siemens, specializing in Automation Systems. My focus remained steadfast in the digital realms as I evolved. Today, I am fluent in coding across 17 languages, spanning from Web Development, Robotics, PLCs, PICs, Linux, to Microprocessors. Beyond coding, I’ve authored books and am deeply involved in the Linux and Arduino communities. Despite my busy schedule with Explora, I’m privileged to teach my own two children coding. It’s shown remarkable outcomes in their mathematics, science, and problem-solving skills.
This personal experience led me to establish the Young Hackers Guild. Perhaps I wear my geek badge with pride, but I’m also acutely aware of the importance of equipping the younger generation with coding skills. It’s vital for them to navigate the ever-changing digital landscape with confidence.
