Software as a Service (SAAS): Tourism and Travel Proposal Software

The following contents relate to the business application for Travel+, addressing the information on the development, services, standards, and road-map for the software.

This is for the benefit of future stakeholders, development teams and companies which have been presented with this SAAS.

Core development

Travel+ was developed specifically for the Tourism and Travel Industry to create travel proposals, allocate costing and profit calculations, and generate quote estimates for the end-user/client.

Commissioned by

Travel+ has been independently developed by PepperPot Online under the consultation of Travel and Tourism consultants.

Hosting and support

All developments, updates and support services for the software are hosted by PepperPot Online. PepperPot Online hosts a number of business applications and is best known for its flexibility to modify existing software packages to cater for individual companies who utilise end-user applications.

Software support

Travel+ includes functionality for end-users to report technical errors, misinformation or request upgrades to the software. This is an open policy and encouraged users to keep the development team in the loop in order to ensure the software meets all demands.

Security and Safety

Travel+ adheres to all national and international laws (CCPA and GDPR) for security protection and backup services pertaining to the sensitive information collected on the servers.

All data entries are 256bit encrypted and cannot be accessed by 3rd parties, nor accidentally “leaked”. Strict protocols are in place in terms of access by PepperPot development teams, whereby data cannot be accessed to be duplicated, replicated or distributed.

PepperPot Online maintains a perfect record in terms of security checks, and service upgrades and has been trusted to maintain services for numerous establishments, corporations and businesses.

Who owns the data

All data entered by end-users via forms or input sections are legally owned by the company/end-user under copyright protection.

Intellectual property in terms of data aggregation, storing, software, and operational systems are held by PepperPotONLINE.

Accessing Data

Definitions:

Account Owner: Users that have registered their company account to utilize the services on PepperPot.

Appointed Users: Users that have been given permission by the Account Owners to access the company account.

Data can only be accessed, downloaded and altered by the Account Owners, and/or the Appointed Users that the Account Owner nominates via the User Manager.

Account Owners take full responsibility for the actions performed by the Appointed Users.

Account owners are entitled to request a downloadable formatted database upon request, and are permitted to cancel the account and have all their data scrubbed from PepperPot Online Servers with immediate effect of cancellation and request.

Utilization of Travel+

The SAAS is sold on a monthly subscription basis which is managed by PepperPot ONLINE. Fees are only payable via PayFast and PayPal.

Development and Technology Information

Front-end: PHP, Java, Javascript, HTML, Ajax, WordPress, jQuery, jQuery CDN.

Server Side: MySQL, nginx, PEARS, Coco-Core

3rd Party Applications: Google Location Services, Amadeus, Beds on Line, GeoPlugin, Facebook SDK, Font Awesome, SendinBlue.

Upgrades and releases

Travel+ has been developed under the guidance of Travel Consultants, and constantly updating and enhancing the software to meet the needs and requirements of the end-users who use the software.

The vision is to make Travel+ the software of choice for new, existing and growing businesses in the Travel and Tourism Industry.

Because the software is a SAAS, there is no need for upgrades from the end-user. Special announcements on major upgrades are announced prior to rollout.
