CONDENSER fan blade

Always look at the following on the fans.

1. Correct direction of flow

Fan blades that have the pitch the wrong way around can cause a 30% loss in cooling efficiency.

Always check that the fan is spinning in the correct direction for airflow and that the pitch is forcing flow.

2. Correct size of the fan blade

If the fan blade is too big for the fan motor, this could cause the fan to turn too slowly and eventually burn out the fan motor.

3. Dirty or damaged blades

Dirt and damaged blades can cause imbalance when spinning which can cause stress on the motor bearing and cause the fan motor to seize. Clean or replace the fan blade if it is too dirty. Damaged fan blades should always be replaced.
