Safety First!

When working on refrigerators, it is always recommended to remove the power and to ensure that no one will accidentally turn on the unit while you are working.

There are dangers such as the fans, high temperatures as well as the risk of electric shock, particularly because there is often moisture or water in or around the refrigerator.

Reading and understanding drawings can sometimes be intimidating. However, if you break down the components and draw the power supply points, it becomes easier to understand. For instance, in the video, it demonstrates how much simpler drawings can be understood by taking your time and taking one step at a time.

Although there are a number of wiring configurations, the drawings below are some of the standard configurations for refrigeration units that you will experience in the field.
