This is a guide to the tools generally required for refrigeration repairs such as brazing, compressor replacement and re-gassing.
Additional tools may be required depending on the work required, however, this list is a guideline for anyone who is starting out.

4mm to 19mm Open and Ring Spanners | This is a pressurized bottle which is filled with R114 flushing liquid pressurized with R22 refrigerant to blast the solvent into the system. | ![]() |
Side Cutter, Pliers and Long Nose Pliers | This is a small plastic bottle with a hole punctured on the lid. This is used to flush the system to prevent oil or benzene from atomising into the atmosphere.
This is used for flushing the system to capture any oil and fluids. |
